Our Windshield Repairs take around 30 - 45 minutes to complete. However, we strongly suggest you make your appointments earlier to get a guaranteed quick service. In addition, many insurance carriers provide windshield repair services to their customers with no additional charges - FREE to the Policyholder - to promptly repair minor issues and breaks. This ensures that the minor cracks won't get more extensive, and the entire windshield will not be damaged and will not require replacing. But you should also check with Insta Glass or your insurance agent for the policy details and coverage details.

When we work on your windshield repair, our expert technicians drill through the outer layer of your windshield's glass and inject the 'glass-like' resin into it. The resin is then treated further under UV light, strengthening the windshield's cracks and keeping it from spreading further across the windshield. Keep in mind the repairs will still be visible after a successful repair - clean glass breaks and minor marks give a decreased visibility after the repair. However, the repair's 'scar' would still be visible where it's repaired. Note that glass typically cannot be 'healed' or treated, but a good glass repair gives your windshield a valuable service even after a break.

As stated before, glass breaks can not completely be repaired unless the break is more significant than a half-dollar coin (approx. 1" radius) size or within the driver's direct vision - an imaginary 8 ½ X 11 sheet of paper in front of the driver. However, the repairs larger than the aforementioned size have a very low rate of success and high warranty call-back rate. Some national glass-works chains often repair the significant breaks on the glass as a sales lead for future windshield replacement. But Insta Glass believes in having a satisfied customer than an unsatisfied one.

Note that a lifetime warranty does not apply to the perceived clarity by the customer or successful state inspection of the vehicle. There is always a risk of the glass breaking further when it comes to the glass repairing process. So, if you are unsure about either of them, it is best to check with Insta Glass or
your inspection station first before making the appointment to ensure whether the windshield repair will pass the state inspection requirements.
